The Modern Warfare 3 publisher is seeking a transfer in ownership of ModernWarfare3.com after the site, which is unafilliated with the game, began to redirect visitors to the official Battlefield 3 page last week. Activision recently filed a complaint with the National Arbitration Forum to seize ownership of the site, and to do so, the company would need to prove that the ModernWarfare3.com is identical or confusingly similar to the trademarks that it already owns rights to, and that the owner of the site has no legitimate interests for the use of the domain name and was registered in "bad faith". I'm not sure if this consists of "bad faith", but the site is no longer redirecting internet surfers to the Battlefield 3 website. It now hosts this video and a message to the public concerning their general dislike for the game. Modern Warfare is back.
