Activision has confirmed that Robomodo, the studio behind Tony Hawk: Ride and Shred, is at the helm of the HD re-release announced just before the VGAs.Due in the first half of next year, the HD revamp will go for “about $15″. Playing a bit coy, Activision didn’t confirm platforms, noting only a digital release via “leading consoles networks” – so don’t rule out the Wii U. The game will use traditional controls – sorry, Ride and Shred fans, all five of you – and include appearances from Nyjah Huston, Chris Cole, Eric Koston, Andrew Reynolds, Rodney Mullen, Lyn-z Adams Hawkins and Riley Hawk. As for the actual content, Activision said only that it will feature the “best elements” of the early Tony Hawk games – and some new features as well. “We’re going back to the core of what made the original Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games so popular, while leveraging today’s console power and online capabilities,” Tony Hawk said in a statement. “We’ve updated many elements to reflect today’s skateboarding scene as well. Long-time fans of the series will appreciate the huge amount of polished content at a very low price.”
